RRGCC & Miguel's Pizza are bringing El Cap to the Gorge! Red in a Day (RIAD) is an endurance climbing competition modeled after the famous Nose in a Day achievement on El Capitan. Pair up with your best climbing partner and get ready to take on 31 pitches of the Red's finest Corbin sandstone! Kickoff and check-in will be hosted at Miguel's Gear Shop Friday evening and Miguel’s Pizza will close things down on Saturday with awards, raffles, & other festivities from our sponsors! All proceeds will benefit the RRGCC.
SCHEDULE
○ Friday, March 13th
- 7 PM – Virtual Strategy & Rules Meeting, followed by Q&A
○ Friday, April 10th
- 6 - 10 PM – Competitor check-ins at Miguel's Gear Shop
- 7 PM – Strategy & Rules Meeting, followed by Q&A & maybe some trash talking...
- 8 PM – Mingling & RRG Film Screenings
○ Saturday, April 11th
- 6 AM – Climbing opens, check-ins available at RRGCC booths in major parking lots of PMRP, Miller Fork, Muir Valley, & Cave Fork
- 4 PM – Climbing closes, touch that tree!
- 4 - 6 PM – Happy Hour @ Miguel's Pizza: Sponsor booths, lawn games, Country Boy Beer, & Entertainment by QA Trivia
- Stop by the RRGCC booth for merch & raffles!
- 7 PM – Awards ceremony & raffle winners announced are announced!
- 8 PM – Exclusive announcements from the RRGCC, RRG Film Screenings, Entertainment by QA Trivia, Mingling with Sponsor Booths
- Live music & festivities to follow!
